Permeated by a genuine earnestness, “Teenage Dream” is the sort of album that every pop star who’s in it for the kids yearns to make. The third and final promotional single, “E.T.”, was released on August 17.

Overall, “Teenage Dream” is a solid way to end a long, hot summer: a mostly successful collection of tracks that indulge in glittery wistfulness. It’s young, but it’s fun — and that’s the shtick Perry’s best at.

Loud is the fifth studio album by world-class megastar Rihanna. The follow-up to 2009’s “Rated R“, “Loud” sees the Barbados-native return to the dancier grooves that inspired her early success.

While Rihanna was on set filming for the movie Battleship, she explained in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, “Loud is, the word, the name of the album definitely reflects the attitude of it, it’s really sassy and flirty and it grabs your attention and that’s why I enjoy it. It takes you through a really really interesting ride. So colorful the album.”

According to Rihanna, the current plan is to release “S&M” as the third single, with plans for an “unexpected” music video.

Overall the CD sounds pretty decent and will surely please her fans who have been waiting patiently for the singer to share her new experiences with them.

You can clearly feel her growth on the album, but it does not seem that she has found herself as an artist as yet. This is not her best work thus far but truth be told this is not her worst either.
